This week on Work in Progress, we learn how Internet community icon Reddit has created an inclusive workplace culture—so much so that it recently earned a place on the Best Workplaces for Millennials™ list.
This episode also features our colleague Claire Hastwell. Claire, Great Place To Works’ Content Marketing Manager, recently wrote a pair of articles about the Best Workplaces for Millennials, including a feature on Reddit. Claire noticed that Reddit employees say things about their workplace such as:
- “Everyone is encouraged to be themselves.”
- “You can be your quirky, weird, individual self.”
- There’s an “effort to make everyone feel like they belong.”
Watch this episode to hear Claire interview Nellie Peshkov, VP of People & Culture at Reddit. Nellie and Claire discuss the importance of Reddit’s transparency, its mission and its Employee Resource and Interest Groups.
