 Announcing Partnership with InsideNGO
Any Company can be a Great Workplace

Any Company can be a Great Workplace

We are pleased to announce that Great Place To Work® is partnering with InsideNGO on a pilot project with four non-governmental organizations that operate in Nairobi, Kenya. This project, called The Culture of Trust Project, is intended to expand Great Place To Work®'s reach into the NGO sector. Our aim is to further prove that any organization in any country, in any industry, of any size can be a great workplace.

The four pilot organizations are: The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, the International Rescue Committee, Jhpiego, and ChildFund. Beginning in May, all Kenya-based employees in these four international NGOs will participate in Great Place To Work’s Trust Index© survey, the world’s most comprehensive tool to assess and rate workplace culture from the perspective of employees. The Trust Index survey is used by nearly 6,000 organizations in 45 countries around the world and more than two million employees take the survey each year. A basis for much of Great Place To Work’s consulting and training services, the survey is used by organizations to help them to create and sustain trust-driven workplace environment.

“For over 20 years we’ve proudly worked with some of the world’s largest companies to improve their workplace cultures,” said José Tolovi, Global CEO of Great Place To Work. “We strongly believe that any workplace can be a great workplace and are excited to expand our work - on a pro-bono basis for now - to collaborate with the NGO sector. This is an important partnership and a significant step forward for Great Place To Work.”

In addition to employee surveys, a group of managers and senior leaders from these four organizations will participate in Great Place To Work’s Giftwork® leadership training. These trainings are designed to help leaders strengthen and sustain a great workplace culture by translating organizational goals into daily interactions that inspire employees.

“This partnership will be immensely beneficial to our member organizations,” said Marie McNamee, Director of Programs, HR & Legal, at InsideNGO. “We look forward to demonstrating a link between high trust workplaces and achieving mission-based results.”

After assessing improvements in the levels of employee trust, pride and camaraderie within the four pilot NGOs, Great Place To Work and InsideNGO plan to expand the Culture of Trust program to NGOs around the world in 2013.
