In contrast to treatments that add drugs to the body to fight cancer, Immunopheresis® is a subtractive therapy: it adds no drugs by treating patients with a plasma filtration cartridge. In a process like dialysis, the procedure is designed to activate the immune system to fight cancer while avoiding the toxicities and side effects of conventional treatments. Because of its non-pharmaceutical profile, Immunopheresis can be combined with any existing treatment, with the potential to markedly improve immune response and quality of life for cancer patients.
